BUNSÅS
SummaryBunsås is Wiking Mineral´s most advanced base metal exploration project and is located in the north eastern Bergslagen area, 15 km west of Sandviken. The deposit hosts an indicated resource of 530 000 tonnes grading 0,5 % copper, 2,0 % zinc, 0,4 g/t gold and 24 g/t silver. Geology
Mineralisation in Bunsås is of massive sulphide type and occurs in a sequence of mafic to felsic volcanics. The volcanic sequence is strongly altered close to the mineralized horizon. Exploration 2011During the winter 2010/2011 a ground and downhole TEM geophysical survey has been completed by SMOY at Bunsås. Interpretation of the data by Geovista indicates untested conductive bodies exist at depth in the western mineralized area. Drilling of this untested area will be conducted during spring-summer 2011. |
