Wiking Mineral is a junior exploration company founded in 2005 based on the idea of creating shareholder value through active exploration for economic base and precious metal deposits in Sweden. The Swedish bedrock, which is a part of the Fennoscandian Shield, is considered to be highly prospective. Exploration in Sweden is promoted by modern mine legislation and a good infrastructure.
Wiking Mineral has through active exploration created a portfolio consisting of several exciting projects.
- In the Skellefte district in northern Sweden the company is active in deep exploration for gold-rich Boliden-type of deposits and zinc-rich VMS deposits. The exploration is technically advanced involving the execution of deep boreholes, geophysical surveying of the holes and geological interpretations.
- At the Vindfall deposit in the Bergslagen mining district in central Sweden the company is in the process of defining a near-surface deposit rich in zinc, lead and silver and fast tracking it towards mining.
- At Gladhammar in southern Sweden, exploration carried out by the company has resulted in the outlining of a gold deposit. Wiking Mineral submitted an exploitation concession application to the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden in June 2011.
- A number of other precious and base metal exploration projects are ongoing in the Skellefte district, Bergslagen and elsewhere. New projects are continuously evaluated.

The company is well positioned regarding exploration permits in traditional areas with existing mines and strong geologic potential for discovery of metal deposits. The company maintains a broad contact network of various contractors, government mining agencies, local authorities and communities, scientists and possible joint venture partners.
The exploration and management team including geologists and other geoscientists has a broad experience of exploration and mining development. The exploration work is based on a long term perspective, cost efficiency and high technological competence.
